About

Jason Bowdach is a freelance colorist & finishing artist based in Los Angeles, California.  

With a background in color science and workflow development, Jason provides a unique combination of both technical and creative insight that is only furthered by his passion & dedication towards his craft. 

Jason’s color & finishing work spans the gamut having worked with well-established brands such as Disney, Fox, Adobe and Google, along with independent filmmakers with content bound for festivals such as Sundance and Tribeca. 

Outside of his grading work, Jason teaches about color and post workflow for companies such as Mixing Light, TAC Resolve, Lowepost, Frame.io, Ripple Training, BorisFX and Digital Anarchy.

He founded and runs PixelTools, a company dedicated to improving the color grading process through the development of an "artist focused" tools and training. 

Jason is a proud member of the Colorist Society International, a professional organization representing colorists around the globe, and NABET Local 53.
